Earth Day Activities Near Thousand Oaks – Storage Facility Staff Shares Community Events

Taking care of our Earth is important to the staff at Hollywood Storage Center of Thousand Oaks. It’s why we offer free e-recycling services all year long. So, on Earth Day, our storage facility team likes to get out to community events to learn about and celebrate protecting our planet. Earth Day is April 22, but Earth Day activities are held throughout the month of April. Here are some great Earth Day and eco-related events happening within a short drive from Thousand Oaks. Grab your kids or your special someone and get out to enjoy the fun!

Storage Facility Staff Shares Earth Day Activities

Calabasas: Earth Day Celebration Green Expo – Join the City of Calabasas on April 15 for an afternoon of fun during its Earth Day Celebration. The event features educational booths, informational speakers, eco-friendly games and activities, a live animal show and entertainment. A large turnout is expected; more than 2,200 people visited in past years. It’s held at Las Virgenes Creek on Agoura Road and admission is free!

Camarillo: Earth Day at the Camarillo Public Library – Explore our world, plant seeds, and make and take home a craft made from recycled materials. Held April 22 from 11 am to 3 pm, this event is a great opportunity to introduce the youngsters in your life to the importance of keeping our planet and our environment healthy.

Malibu: Community Shredding – On Saturday, April 22, drop off documents to be securely shredded and recycled for free from 10 am to 2 pm in the upper parking lot of Malibu City Hall. Come early – collection ends when the truck is full.

Oxnard: Earth Day Festival – Find inspiration to act locally while thinking globally about our impact on the environment. Attendees will enjoy live music, community displays, children’s activities, food and fun. Admission to this increasingly popular event is free. It will be held April 15 from 11 am to 3 pm at Plaza Park, located at the corner of Fifth and C streets in downtown Oxnard,

Santa Barbara: Santa Barbara Earth Day – This two day event, April 22 and 23, is free to the public and located at Alameda Park in Santa Barbara. Explore the festival’s EcoVillage to find green products, smart technology, organic clothing and more. Fuel up with smoothies, vegan fare and fresh pizzas, then enjoy a local brew at the Earth Day Beer and Wine Garden. Additional activities include a Green Car Show, a Kids’ Corner and much more.

Ventura: Ventura Earth Day Eco Fest – On April 22, from 10 am to 5 pm, enjoy one of the most popular Earth Day celebrations in the tri-county area. Visitors to the annual event will be treated to free, family-friendly entertainment including music on two stages, education, and more than 90 eco-friendly exhibitor booths. Admission is free.
